On behalf of the Lagos State, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, has presented cheques to Police Officers injured during the 2020 #EndSARS protest.
The cheques were presented to the beneficiaries at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Justice, Secretariat, Alausa recently.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pedro stressed that the State Government under the able leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will continue to exercise its mandate to promote and protect the human rights of Lagosians including law enforcement officers in the State through constituted mechanisms in the speedy dispensation of justice across the State.
The #EndSARS protest was against police brutality, with epicentre in Lagos. The protest was, however, later hijacked by hoodlums.
